Ridiculous!

Can you believe this? They want CSA flags removed at Lee-Washington College. I swear if they take this down, I might end up marching there myself.

When you think about it, the ones who are being intolerant and a prisoner of the past, perhaps fueled by being political correctness, are the students who demands the removal of anything associated with the Confederacy. It is really easy to see the dirt on other people's faces compared to seeing our own dirt. Based on the name of the university, I assume it is founded by a Confederate. So I see no reason for the removal of things associated to the Confederacy.

Regarding the MLK Jr Day, wouldn't it be better to celebrate that day by having classes instead of students out in the streets partying and getting drunk? Isn't the youth studying a better "tribute" to MLK Jr?

Agreed! It's very backwards. I don't know why a college Lee taught at can't have Confederate flags after 140-something years since he's been there.

This is so true. IGNORANCE is the root or any prejudice. And they have been lied to, as have I, and all those around me.

Yes, Ignorance is something we Southerners have to deal with on a frequent basis. Someday, soon I pray people will begin to see the light.
