Scourge of War: Gettysburg
I really, really like this game. I would even call it educational. It's accurate, historically speaking, and gives you a bit of perspective on commanding such a large army.
Get the demo: It's practically a full game in its own right.

Thank you for sharing. By any chance do you know any similar games that utilizes modern weapons and up-to-date physical/maritime maps? The closest that I could find are Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations and War Game: Red Dragon. But both only have the current U.S. versus other countries.

I don't know of any out there, unfortunately I'm not much of a gaming enthusiast. But that would be fun..
